Nestled high in the Northern Japanese Alps, Tsugaike is known for its wide, gentle slopes and stunning scenery — perfect for families, beginners, and powder lovers alike. The village has a relaxed atmosphere with ski rental shops, cozy restaurants, and easy access to the larger Hakuba Valley. From Chalet Tsugaike, you can be on the lifts in minutes and enjoy one of Japan’s most scenic winter destinations right at your doorstep.
Comfortable Sleeping Spaces
The chalet has three comfortable double bedrooms, sleeping up to six guests. The master bedroom features a king-sized bed, and two additional rooms can be configured as kings or twins to suit your group’s needs. Two of the bedrooms offer beautiful views of the Northern Japanese Alps, providing a peaceful and scenic retreat after a day on the slopes.
Kitchen and Dining Area
The chalet’s fully equipped kitchen makes self-catering easy, with a gas stovetop for cooking plus an air fryer and microwave for quick meals. You’ll also find a fridge-freezer, cookware, and all the tableware you need. Just steps away, the spacious dining area features a large table perfect for group meals, après-ski gatherings, or planning the next day’s adventures.
Heating
Chalet Tsugaike stays warm and comfortable with efficient underfloor heating throughout. For added ambiance and extra warmth, you can also enjoy the cozy fireplace in the lounge — perfect for relaxing evenings after a day on the slopes.
Dry Room
Keep your ski/board boots and clothing warm and dry after a day on the slopes in the chalet’s dedicated dry room. Warm with plenty of hanging space, it’s designed to make your ski days more comfortable and hassle-free.
Cosy Lounge
Unwind in the chalet’s cozy lounge after a day on the slopes. Sink into the comfortable couches, warm up by the fireplace, and enjoy your favorite shows or movies on the smart TV. It’s the perfect spot for relaxing evenings with family and friends.
Bathroom
The chalet’s modern bathroom features a spacious walk-in shower with great water pressure — perfect for warming up after a day on the slopes. Towels and essential toiletries are provided for your comfort. For added convenience, there’s a separate toilet on both floors of the chalet.
Laundry
For longer stays or freshening up after a big day on the mountain, the chalet includes a washing machine and gas dryer.
Free Parking for 4WD Vehicles
Convenient parking is available right next to the chalet’s front door, making loading and unloading easy — especially when carrying ski gear. There is a heated driveway to melt the snow around your vehicle to minimise the need to clear snow. The chalet has direct access to a serviced road, but since it’s reached via a steep hill, we strongly recommend all vehicles have 4WD and winter tires to ensure safe travel during heavy snow.
