Allow yourself the freedom to cook your own meals and do your own thing. Hakuba Matata Apartment is perfect for up to five guests.
Located within the building of Hakuba Matata Lodge but a completely separate and self contained space. It is your choice whether you interact with the friendly staff inside the lodge, or choose to keep to yourself. Of course, all guests are welcome to visit the Hakuba Matata Lounge/Bar in the evenings.
Queen Bedroom
The cosy queen bedroom is decorated in Japanese style. A full height, western bed sits on a tatami floor and is surrounded by shoji doors and quintessential Japanese imagery.
Dining Area and Kitchenette
The kitchen is equipped with everything you need to prepare a simple meal. Share a meal together at the dining table, or push it to the side and make space for the 5th bed (instead of having it in the lounge), allowing a third sleeping space if that suits your group better.
*NOTE* Breakfast for Apartment guests is not provided. If you would like to arrange for us to provide breakfast, please contact us in advance of your stay.
Free Parking
Bringing your own car? No problem! There is a private parking space right at the back door.
Lounge Room for 3 Singles
The lounge easily converts into a spacious sleeping space for 3 people. Two couches transform into comfortable single beds, and the third bed is a sturdy fold out bed.

Bathroom
A western style shower, a japanese style toilet (with heated seat and bidet!) and a vanity… what more could you need?
Laundry
Avoid being the smelly one on the chairlift! Hakuba Matata Apartment has a washing machine, laundry tub and clothes drying rack.
Ski/Board Storage
On first entrance to the apartment there is a space for storing shoe and boots (please, no shoes inside). Just outside the back door is a private space for storing snow equipment, such as skis and snowboards.

Stone2023-01-07Nice comfortable accommodation. ☺ Comfortable, close to shuttle pickup, well equipped, comfortable beds, all you need for a relaxing stay. Nice tv to relax with in the evenings. Hosts are super friendly and really helpful. ☹ Just nitpicking, A rice cooker and electric kettle would beneft the kitchen. Dining table is a little bit small for 5 people.
